Dave's bald spot is bigger than mine...... barely

Out of the rest of my friends I never thought that I would be competing with Dave for the race to baldness. Oh well. PBK.

My Grandmother wrote me back.....

.... and was touched that I would recall the good old days. C'mon Sylvia, it was only a box of cereal. My good deed for the year. I did leave one little part out from yesterday. When I was little she insisted on me drinking the leftover nasty sugary milk. BARF! She used to be so mean about it, sometimes PBK would cry, cry, cry. Sometimes PBK would take this glass of leftover milk and pour it all over the back seat of her Cadillac as she was driving a certain PBK to school. Did I mention that it was the summer time? Yuk!

Don't cry over spilled milk?

Alex, I don't know what to tell you.... maybe I have too many issues. MIA was going to be my last album for the day. I got into three tracks and that was all I could take. Why? Why is PBK having all of these problems with your supplies? Too many turntables? Too much rythem? Might be both. I feel I have really walked into the murky waters of questionable country music and very abrasive Southern California noise rock. Murky meaning some of it just ain't so good. I would like to think that would show some sign of having an open mind and trying new things. MIA.... The Go Team...... I just can't do it.

I have to give my grandmother some credit....

As many of you know PBK is not the biggest fan of his grandmother. She has always been very tough to understand. She is just what she is, set in her ways. Not only that but her birthday is on Oct. 31st. Isn't that enough of an omen? As I was making my lunch and snacking on a handful of Crunchy Corn Bran (my favorite cereal ever) something hit me. I owe my love of that cereal to her..... my grandmother. If it wasn't for Sylvia I would have never had the privilage to try such wonderful treats. I think when I am done posting this I am going to email her and thank her for connecting me to the Crunchy Corn Bran.

I'm serious.

I should email her anyways and thank her for the X-Mas gifts. Some of them will come in use (like the check) and some others won't (like the ornaments). What does a 29 year old guy need with X-Mas ornaments? They made me want to cry.

Thank you grandma for everything (including my childhood blanket).

One of these days I will have more Doomsday:1999 to listen to. Right now I listen to the same two songs...... as you can see it is everyday. It is great stuff. "Ancient Melodies" is not a good BTS album. Now I know why I was not in a hurry to get it. I think it came out about five years ago? Yeah, not that great.

I just got done eating an apple turnover and watching Max Dugen Returns. It was just as good as remembered and I forgot it was the film debut of Matthew Broderick. Hell, Jason Robards is in it.

PBK loves Jason Robards.

Hawk & Rice

A quick thought about today's Hall of Fame voting, it's fucked. Sport writers are nuts. Good for Bruce Sutter but how do these writers continue to leave out Jim Rice and Andre Dawson? I couldn't believe it. Easily two of the most dominent players in the late 70's & early 80's have been ignored..... again. PBK wants justice!!!

5. Dracula 'Soundtrack' (Philip Glass)
6. Khartoum (Jandek)
7. Destroyer (Kiss)

This is the last time I am going to talk about Kiss. I love the first album. After that the next couple are ok, worth a listen. Destroyer is horrible. I don't mean to act or sound like a critic (the fucking thing came out about 30 years ago or something like that so I am a bit late) but you have to be kidding me. It starts off great with "Detroit Rock City" and continues to stink for the next 9 tracks. I am suprised. I thought I found this goldmine of rock music that my parents sheltered me from as a child and I was given this second chance to rediscover it in my late twenties. I was very, very wrong. A friend recently reffered to me as a "Panda Jerk???" for giving Kiss so much listening time and now I am starting to feel like one. Destroyer is so bad. Isn't this supposed to be one of their best albums? Whatever. Dracula was the complete highlight for today. I think I listened to it sometime after lunch. Beautiful, just beautiful.

I am back to work until forever and I do not feel any bit recharged. For a job that is so easy it can sometimes be a bit of a downer. The pictures attached are from my recent trip to my former elementary school. My sister and I were feeling pretty damned nostalgic so we thought it was time to walk through and see if that place smelled the same. It does. I had not stepped foot in there since the fifth grade. It was wonderful. I even got pictures of the outdoor roller skating rink that is still intact. Oh, and our fifth grade teacher remembered us. He hugged PBK.

What's that?

Take some more time off of work??? Ok, if you say so.

10. Red, White, and Crue 'Disk 1' (Motley Crue) *2*

I was a busy boy today. I do have a few words.

1. I love my new desk at work. LOVE IT! My phone rang once today, it was my sister calling. I am still pretty headshy. I think I starred at my phone for half of the day in total fear.

2. Diver Down by Van Halen is good. Never listened to it before and I would say it was the highlight. Quote me on it. I am that guy that believes in David Lee Roth. I have always copied my big brother. What can I do?

3. Maybe the first Kiss album is the only good Kiss album? I have more to listen to so that has yet to be determined.

4. I need the first two Motley Crue albums so I can get rid of the greatest hits disc. The first 10 tracks are solid, the rest goes downhill fast ending in a stinky stew of Dr. Feelgood. Christ!

5. Finally. I got a bunch of Kiss and Runaways cd's in the mail during christmas break. So basically that is what is on tap. I really intended my list to show some form of diversity on a daily bases. That has changed. Now I am being introduced to things (which I know are staples for many other people) that I feel the need to binge on.

P.S. Swell? Alex made me do it.

Poor PBK

PBK has to return to work tomorrow. I am sad.

# 34

1. Whatcha Doin' (The Go)
2. C.I.A. Drug Fest (Old Skull)
3. Playing The Angel (Depeche Mode)
4. Shame Fantasy II (Pink & Brown)
5. Accumulation None (Smog)
6. Late Registration (Kanye West)

A few words about today. First of all....... I never thought I would enjoy a Depeche Mode album post Violator. I was wrong. The new one is far from great but does have some really good tracks on it. Second. Old Skull. If you read this and you don't know what Old Skull is then please Google them. Wow! Who would of thought the the most "political" album I own would be sung by 12 year olds. I can't wait to get their first album.

Like I mentioned to Alex, two weeks of straight Pink Floyd is on the way. I guess I will find out how many different versions of "Echoes" I really have.

# 31

Busy, busy music day. I was given a request and I followed it at # 1.

1. A Love Supreme (John Coltrane)
2. Fear And Whisky (The Mekons)
3. Kicking Television 'Disk 1' (Wilco)
4. Kicking Television 'Disk 2' (Wilco)
5. Flowers Of Romance (Public Image Limited) *2*
6. Love Is All 'Single' (The Rapture)
7. The Transformed Man (William Shatner)
8. Hollywood Mike Miranda Split 7" (Teen Cthulhu) *3*

What to say. The William Shatner was amazing. I have only really listened to parts of it in the past. I don't mean amazing in a "alternative" way.... more like it is a very interesting side project for a TV actor to take on at that point of his young career. I love his voice, I can admit that.

It just ain't the same......

..... playing Axis & Allies with only three people. The tradition of a pre-Thanksgiving A & A game might be coming to a quick end. It is tough to rally the troops when the troops are a bit spread out all over the place. Oh well. Maybe things can be corrected around Christmas time. Maybe someone might even have the balls to purchase technology. You never know.

4. Ace Of Spades (Motorhead) *2*
5. Supershitty To The Max (The Hellacopters)
6. 'Neath The Puke Tree 'EP' (Smog)

The Power Station was painful. "Bang a Gong", yes... everything else... no. They should have just released a 7" with "Some Like it Hot" on the b-side. I complained about it to a friend at work. Two good songs, that is it.

Hey everyone. This guy wants to make me rich. Check out that dress...... christ!

No Joke..... I want some pie.

and no shit. It is like there are these factions of crazy people everywhere. Seems something like roving gangs with pockets full of crazy. Some yell in the lunch room, others scream at their children on the phone. Not to be outdone there are even others who act like sharks looking for free food.

"Pie, did you say pie?"

Some ask if they missed anything last week.

"Well.... you missed pie, FREE PIE."

I would hate it if I died young. Think of all of the years of free pie I would have missed.

I find this picture fitting

Mindy is on this new "God" kick. I find it silly. I am dedicating this picture to Mindy and her new passion for heaven and angles and stuff. It has that look of something you would see hanging on a wall in some church classroom, right?

Here is to you Mindy and your new sense of inner peace.

Dear Randi....

I saved half for you. Yummy. You win the prize because you are the first real person to post something that was not spam. Hell, I figured that no other human would ever see such mindless painful posts. Pbk has one little question. Why not Botch and BPB?

In other news. The turkey is sitting out on the counter for my lunch tomorrow. I better tend to that.

I am making a "Want" list.....

-More Clone Troopers for my desk at work. People are actually starting to make fun of me and not in a nice way. I can't help their lack of class and taste.
- Music suggestions. After 4 months of no repeats all I got left is Smog and Pink Floyd for the near future. I guess one could see where my focus is. I need more, PBK needs more. I got 30 GB of space to fill.
