Alex is funny. So that sums it up everyone.

Knight Rider in German.

I missed my dog so I came home. I could have stayed but I was getting very tired of German television. The only sports updates I could get was soccer/football highlights. Yikes! PBK enjoyed his trip. In a nutshell here is what was achieved.......

* Drove (ok, someone drove and I slept in the back seat) most of the Dalmation coastline.
* Took a boat and visited the island where my grandmother came from.
* Drove to Zagreb in northern Croatia.
* Took a train from Zagreb to Buddapest. Took forever.
* Took a hydrofoil from Buddapest to Vienna. Took even longer.

Flying stinks. I think I was up for 30 hours straight yesterday. My longest flight home was 11 hours. I was cool with it until hour 9, things started to get fuzzy in my head at that point. Minus all of the PBK transit time the trip was amazing. I plan on returning.

Per Billy's request I will attach some pictures. Billy posted, that makes PBK happy.

Europe is nice.....

PBK might need to retire soon and build a simple home here in Croatia. I love it.

# 137 (Happy Trails)

1. The Battle Of Electricity (The Gerbils) *2*
2. Kid A (Radiohead) *2*
3. I Hear A New World (Rod Freeman & The Blue Men) *2*
4. Being There 'Disk 2' (Wilco) *2*

Happy trails for PBK. I am taking some time off for a couple weeks to go overseas. I am very nervous since something like this requires me to leave my home. Jetlag? I'm going to learn about it firsthand? Crazy. All I have ever heard about jetlag is what I have seen on TV. So I might post stuff on the road or I might not. Guess it all depends on how much computer time I get. Wish me luck.

I'm trying to cut out caffine. I have done two days now with only 8 oz of iced tea a day. I guess I will need more PBR to fill this new void. First it was no smoking and now no caffine. Next it will be no drinking. I plan on becoming the most boring PBK this world has ever seen. Did anyone watch the series finale of Seventh Heaven last night? Anyone? What a waste that was. 10 years deserved a better ending. Stupid me, I thought Ashlee Simpson was going to make a cameo.

I'm still playing Phantasy Star. I'm not very good at it. I probably would have had more luck 19 years ago.

Started season three of Six Feet Under Saturday morning. Just finished it a few minutes ago. My girlfriend and I kind of get hooked on things I guess.

Tuesday Night.....

I will have to see Munich now. This was made for TV in the mid 80's, I would highly suggest watching it.

2. Deserter's Songs (Mercury Rev) *2*
3. Girls, Girls, Girls 'Expanded' (Motley Crue)

5. Maps 'EP' (Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's)
6. Zabriskie Point 'Partial Album' (Pink Floyd)
7. Future Days (CAN) *4*

I'm not going to compare Motley Crue to Kiss... never in a million years. I would just like to point out one thing. First album, pretty good. Second one, not so bad....... everything else, crummy. I feel like I show these signs of growth and class and then I screw it all up with a debate on the quality of a Motley Crue album. At least you can see that I was down with the Twisted Sister.

# 127 (Half Pint)

1. Construction Time Again (Depeche Mode)

In this episode of Little House the railroad tried to move into Walnut Grove and bully some of the good townsfolk out of their farms. Laura wanted nothing to do with it so she packed her pistol and stood up for her man Almonzo.

La Grande

Another trip down. I am always sad to see them go. I guess this little note is just to say thanks to my friends for being my friends.

I guess PBK can be a sap.

I will leave you all with action shots from another great breakfast. Tradition is a funny thing sometimes. Josh was again able to take on the biscuits and gravy with ease and follow that up with dominence on the basketball court. PBK ate a little breakfast sandwich and resorted to begging for multiple timeouts. I thought that pesky sandwich might kill me.

# 126

1. The Bird Who Continues To Eat The Rabbits Flower 'EP' (Of Montreal)
2. DFA Records Compilation 1 'Partail Album' (The Rapture)
3. DFA Records Compilation 2 'Partail Album' (The Rapture)

11. So Far (Faust)
12. Racist Unicorn (Doomsday:1999) *18*
13. Manta Rays Of Time 'EP' (Smog) *2*

I told you there was new stuff. I have been introduced to Faust, I can see that it will grow on me. I would also like to add that the Microphones album was a good addition. I am out of town for a few days.............

12 hours to La Grande

That woman that I spoke of before seems to enjoy sitting next to me. She must have a ton on her mind.

"most of the time i just tell her....."

She went on with no breaks for a half an hour. I am suprised she has time to eat.

Jandek in Portland

I am not going to be silly about this but I would just like to point out a couple of observations. The Jandek show was very good tonight.

*I have never seen a performer enjoy playing to such a degree yet be able to pay no attention to his/her adoring audience. He could have cared less. Either that was sincere or he is a great actor. Either way that was very cool.
*The music (at points) was very motivating and very passionate.
*The really big thing was his appearance. It looked like Death walked through a door and decided to play from his heart, really weird. Jandek looks like something from a creepy cartoon.
* The supporting band was fantastic. I can't stand Quasi but Sam Coomes was very good on bass.

I hope that he decides to release this recording. The music was outstanding.

I have to thank Ryan again for introducing me to this.

Alex, Jim, and anyone else who reads this blog... I suggest you do some research and read up on this guy. The story alone is worth the time.

I am watching the second season of Six Feet Under and I started playing the first Phantasy Star. There is some cat like thing that just joined my party.

I just bought it a jacket and it likes to scratch the bad guys with its claws.

So I was in the breakroom today eating my lunch. There I am, minding my own business when this woman came and sat at the table just to the left of me. She soon started to talk to herself. At first I was positive that she was on a cell phone with one of those wireless headsets but then I noticed she wasn't. Basically she began having a "work meeting" by herself..... she was talking crazy like......

"This is what you're supposed to do..."

"And she said......"

..... all of this went on for a half hour straight. I tried to ignore it but she might as well have been sitting at my table she was so close.

This would be a highlight.

Goodnight

# 117 (I'm trying to avoid using Roundup)

It kind of burns a bit when you get it on your skin. The weather has been kind of nice the past couple of days and I have chosen to take advantage of it and work on my yard. I have spent a few afternoons pulling weeds and trimming the hedges. Yes, I have a hedge trimmer and yes, I used it for the first time today. I am pretty sure I looked very silly to anyone who drove by. I am also farily sure that I butchered one of the hedges pretty good. It will grow back, right? My point is not really a point and all I wanted to say is that I kind of enjoy being domestic. My girlfriend cooks me dinner and I stand outside and yell at the lawnmower for not starting. Huh, that damn machine can be a real piece of shit sometimes.

Magic Key!

I have completed the Triforce, now it is time to destroy Ganon? Really? How old is PBK? PBK might be 10..... maybe 12 but that could be pushing it.

PBK is also watching some TV. Let's run them down.......

1. Soprano's (Season 6)
2. Six Feet Under (Season 1) *Why has it taken me so long to watch this? A great show!*
3. Survivor
4. Big Love (Season 1)

I will also update this pretty often. My plan is to basically document everything I consume in a day. That would be food, music, and TV.

God put PBK on this planet to consume everything and dammit that is what PBK will do.

I'm making progress

Friday night I went out to see 2 shows. I find this to be ground breaking. This was the first time in a year and a half that I have found the guts to leave my house to go see some music. The Dirtbombs were really good. Doomsday 1999 was really, really good..... scary good. What's that? Doomsday has a new album? I will listen to it every day in April, guarenteed. So PBK would like to thank both bands for being in town on a Friday night. I might just be able to go out more often.

ps.. lamb needs a bath.

Confused...

First I want to start with an email I received this morning from a dear friend, we will call him Jimmy (hehe). Jimmy sifted through my blog this morning and shared his feelings with me about the whole thing. Jimmy passed along some very kind words, thanks! Jimmy also mentioned that he was happy that PBK stayed away from the "complaining about work" bit since that is kind of what the roots of this thing are based off of. I couldn't agree more.......

I have learned about myself today Jimmy, I am about to explain why. Oh, and I am going to complain about work.... just a little bit.

It all started last night. I have been eating the same lunch for about nine months. My lunch consists of a PB & J, cheese puffs, and a coke. Yesterday while I was at the store it hit me... I should make something new for lunch. I was suprised with myself. What was this voice in my head thinking/saying? Change? I did it. I bought turkey and potato chips. This was insane. Last night I prepared my new lunch and went to bed.

PBK never ever oversleeps, never. My alarm is very loud and I can only take so much sports radio in the morning. Sports talk in the morning is good motivation to get out of bed. Basically I was awoken to my pug licking my face and my girlfriend (kind of irritated) asking if I planned on getting up. My morning was officially messed up. I was not late to work today but the worse possible thing happened..... I forgot my Ipod.

Here is where I complain. I will make this part quick. I was forced to interact and listen to my peers all day today. It is amazing how much you can miss when you have the sound of the office turned off. It was like a whole new world was opened up to me.

I am about to blame my new lunch for the rest of the bad happenings......

As the day progresses these things happen.

* One of my favorite co-workers (she sits in front of me) is asked to switch desks. She is crazy but I like her.
* News surfaces that the tv show Arrested Development is probably not going to make a comeback on Showtime (rumors were pointing to the opposite).
* Panic sets in that I have no head phones in my ears. I overhear one of my co-workers retell a story of missing a former co-worker of ours. I also miss this person. She recalls a time the two of them went out to dinner and had this great meal together. I thought that was odd. I later emailed this former team member to verify this information. He confirmed that it was all false and none of what she said ever happened. EVER!
* Joey on NBC was going to be cancelled. :(
* George Clooney is going to do Ocean's 13? Stop, please just stop. Ocean's 12 was horrible.

ok, that was all. No music offerings today. I didn't listen to a damn thing.

My point? My new lunch has started to ruin my life.

Do I dare go back to the PB & J? I don't know what to do. I do know this. I will have my Ipod at work tomorrow and I have new music to listen to.

*kisses*

I have been listening to Orchid alot it seems. Hmmm. I think I will listen to it again tomorrow. It seems to be running through my head pretty often so I figured I might as well listen to it non stop until I get sick of it. I would also agree that the Blonde Redhead album was a very nice suprise. For some reason I wasn't expecting much and I really liked it.

The countdown to Janet Jones in "American Anthem" starts now..... 48 hours. Janet Jones, my first childhood crush.

Fat Boy

This was a good movie for Harrison Ford. I haden't seen this since I was a kid and it was very good. What was the last decent movie Harrison Ford has done? I can't think of one. Please don't say "Regarding Harry" was good.... please don't. This goes way beyond the Han Solo thing, way beyond.

Other things. It was suggested that non Blogspot members should be given the option to post comments. I think that ability has now been granted so post away.
