Ok, here are the teams.......

Axis: Josh, Jimmy, & Brian

Allies: Alex, Dave, & PBK

Round 1: Each team gains a little and loses a little. Russia has no luck moving towards Japan (this will be trouble later) and Germany is unable to eliminate the Allies sea presence. The game is already taking its own shape.

Round 2: Everything plays to the Allies favor. Standard moves are being made. The UK begins to push the Axis out of Africa. The US begins building a fleet to move towards Western Europe & Russia is holding it's own. Japan is also having success is expanding towards Russia.

Round 3: Everything gets a bit blurry at this point. The UK loses it's production facility in India. Fighters were used to clear some water space for the US and that left the door open for the end of the game. Japan moves in and India is added to its impressive collection of four production facilities. Germany is also holding off attacks by Russia, the UK, and the US. Amazing.

The rest of the game: Ouch. All the beer in the world won't make it better. The Axis wins and the reason is because of Horton & Co. They kicked our ass. The Allies played well but countries like the UK got very lazy and figured that the outcome would turn out like the others. PBK sure was wrong and was outsmarted by Horton again.

I think the play-by-play doesn't factor in the upset that the Axis experienced on more than a couple occassions. The outcome was far from certain until just the end, from their perspective. The kitchen conferences featured much talk of how the balance was shifting back and forth, and hope that it would ultimately shift in Axis favor.

Finally, don't forget the pledge at the outset of the game. If the Axis lost, Mr. Horton was going to become a proponent of a Russia-limiting rule.... That won't be happening.

I don't know how you reduced seven hours to a few quick paragraphs...round three and the rest of the game were really crazy, but contained the bulk of the action, for better or for worse. I do love the title, however. Eraker has never had a monicker that stuck, it's about time he does. By the way, Mexico is an interesting place on a full belly of A-Morrow pancakes. yum.
