Ummm, A & A part 2 (and 3)

Rematch?

Germany: PBK
Japan: Brian

USA: Josh
UK: Josh
Russia: Josh

Advantage? Josh.

Brian and I believed we could do it, we thought we could make Josh struggle. We were wrong. We played two games today because Josh destroyed us in game 1. Nothing to say about it...... good game JBH.

(Notice Brian's disgust)

Game 2....... things went a little more normal. Huge build up in Europe, Germany even managed to balance out Africa. Russia on the other hand was a monster. After pulling in what seemed to be 40 IPC's a turn Russia forced Germany to be aggressive and make the first move. Germany could not match the balanced spending of Russia. Men and tanks, men and tanks.

Japan did what it could but the Allies were able to keep Japan from having that huge turn it needed....... closer to the capital of Russia. PBK thinks he and Brian need to try again. It's been almost 15 years of your dominence Horton.

more things that scare PBK....

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I'm on vacation.

I decided to take it easy today and watch some TV. Where's the harm in that, right? I was flipping through the listings and oh my god, this had to be a joke. The Discovery Channel was doing a show on the Giant Squid? My first thought was that it would be about some super cool scientist who was exploring new ways of ridding the planet of the Giant Squid. Come on, I mean you've seen these things, right? Crazy eyes, razor sharp beaks, and rotating hook like suckers..... they're like something out of a sci fi movie. Oh no, this scientist (who was from New Zealand) was looking into catching Giant Squid larva and raising them in captivity.

I know what you might be thinking, this guy has to be insane.

I was wondering why the Discovery Channel would do a story on a mad scientist. Usually they do stories on interesting scientists looking to do something to better the world. It is crazy doctors like this that make the best villians in the Spiderman sequels. We are dealing with a madman.

Raise a baby Giant Squid into adulthood? Wow, I'm floored. I watched the hour long episode in fear. It did end on a sad note for the doctor but for me it opened my eyes. As hard as it was for the doctor to catch the larva in the wild it was even harder to keep them alive in captivity. Phew? The doctor then swore that it was only a matter of time until he will be able to achieve his life long goal of raising his own squid. Don't we all know why he would want to do this?

World domination.

See, first you raise the squid, then you make thousands of robot squid (see the diagram below that I stole from the internet). This picture was way too easy to find.

When I was younger I was afraid to walk alone in the dark for fear of Gene Simmons in full Kiss gear grabbing me and taking me away from my family. I'm not kidding. Now as an adult my fear of walking alone in the dark has been replaced by the giant eyes and sharp beak of the Giant Squid. I see it like a gang of sea stinking street punks just looking for their next piece of prey.

my dreams of fantasy football greatness have been crushed...... again

What does an 11-2 record and the top spot get me in the playoffs? Beat..... yet again my team loses in the first week of the playoffs. PBK feels like he has pissed away 13 weeks of his life. I should get out, maybe travel more. Maybe I shouldn't do any of that and just start playing D & D. I just need to get over this cold that's keeping me down.

We'll get'em next year Brandon Jacobs.

Oh and BTW, I have all of this new music to listen to and no time to listen to it. I'm misserable...... really, I am.

Send PBK X-mas gifts so he will feel better. In a perfect world there would be a Jafco catelog and a DVD copy of Secret of Magic Island. Oh, and a signed portriat of Jacqueline Summers.

A & A...

The teams.....

Russia: Josh
Germany: PBK
England: Jimmy
Japan: Brian
US: Chris

Ok, just to start... the Axis is a real underdog here. The Horton's are tough to go up against.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Round 1: Germany hits everything and loses nothing from it's airforce. Japan also has some rolls going for it. The US boats are sunk and the UK has no naval presence. Highlight of this round? The US purcheses four rolls for production and hits one. WOW! US gets "Jet Power."

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Round 2: Everything that could go wrong for the Axis happens. Planes are hit by transports the whole round. Germany and Japan really suffer. The Allies go crazy with production facilities. India and French Indo Burma are going to are going to have a battle royal.

Round 3: The decline of Germany continues. Aggresive moves into Russia are stopped. Japan also loses ground in Asia. A single UK submarine patrols the waters and refuses to die. The US begins to build up its airforce and tranports are making moves into Africa and Western Europe.

Round 4: Huge battle in India and French Indo Burma. The UK loses everything and Japan now has three facilities. The Axis is still going to fall but has made the game very interesting.

It all could have continued but some of us had to leave, it was getting very late. The Allies again dominated but the Axis made it tough at times.

Poe.....

Ok. Poe.

Ummm, I guess she had two hit songs about 10 years ago? Am I right on this? The local station plays both of them all of the time.

"Johny, angry Johnny"

Why? Some things come out and can become so dated so quick. This would be one of them. I have three facts about "Vickie" and her relationship with Poe.

*Vickie has seen Poe live.

*Vickie owns the Poe cd.

*Even Vickie is getting sick of hearing Poe on the radio.

I don't like Poe.

Anthony Kiedes....

Again, no music today. Instead I will post things from the radio on the ride home. I can't play anything, Jamie (wait, she doesn't want her name used... umm.... Vickie, she is now Vickie) just wants to hear the radio. So it seems that the local alternative radio station is the flavor of choice. She's bummed, her favorite 80's station just went under. Anyways...... the same bands are on all of the time. I'm not using this to be critical. What I am going to do is point out things I don't like.

I don't like Anthony Kiedes.

He sings, he sings like a drunk baby. Blah, blu, blah, blu, blugh. If PBK was to lay on his couch and sing out loud it would sound much like Anthony Kiedes.

He does have his hair and better abs. Vickie wanted me to point that out.

Blugh. I miss my Ipod.
