# 160

1. Totality (Orchid)
2. Love Love Love (Glass Candy)
3. Some Girls Wander By Mistake (Sisters Of Mercy)
4. Bats Out Of Harm (FM Bats)
5. Complete Discocrappy 'Disk 1' (Charles Bronson)
6. This Night (Destroyer)

The Charles Bronson album has 96 tracks on the first disk. I understand all of the songs were between 1 minute to 30 seconds but still...... it seemed like a lifetime. It is very good, I'm not complaining. After searching around a bunch of different stores in Portland (with no luck) I finally found a place online that carried the new FM Bats album. I love getting things in the mail. Oh, and the Sisters of Mercy..... today was good all around.

I am conflicted again with the task of making my lunch for work tomorrow. I might be up for awhile putting this simple chore off to the side.

Alex, where's the update? I thought you were going to keep up.

5. The Wild, The Innocent And The E Street Shuffle (Bruce Springsteen)
6. Mutiny/The Bad Seed (The Birthday Party)
7. Green Cosmos (Deerhoof)
8. Harshing Your Mellow (Akimbo)

Not even Mick could have saved me today from myself. Akimbo? They have all of the makings of something I would really enjoy (lots of screaming). I'm sure you're thinking to yourself that I liked it so much this morning I had to wrap my day up with some more. End on a high note maybe? Sad, that was not the case. Something about it just isn't right. I also listened to Nirvana for the first time today... ever (no joke, only real expierence is stuff on the radio). Again...... nope. Even the Boss wasn't as good as I remembered in highschool. I used to love that album when I was younger. Have I hit a dry spell? Do I listen to too much music at work? Should I take out my headphones and socialize with the rest of my peers?

Just Between Friends?

I watched it tonight. I probably saw this movie about fifty times on HBO when I was a kid. Mary Tyler Moore is freaky/creepy skinny in this movie. Oh, I thought there was going to be more crying and screaming...... I guess that was in 'Ordianry People'..... my mistake.

"Holly and Sandy strike up an instant friendship; they don't know however that they have more in common than they'd like. When tragedy strikes, their relationship is tested."

I also started season three of Deadwood.

A letter to the editor (from a concerned reader) ......

Dear Sir,
I must take issue with your blog posting of 6/9. I feel that you have mischaracterized standard office banter by approximately 20-40%. The offending portion is reprinted below:

Monday...... I wish it was Friday.
Tuesday.... At least it isn't Monday and it is a day closer to Friday.
Wednesday..... Hump Day!
Thursday...... One more day till... you guessed it.... FRIDAY!
Friday...... Thank god they say, thank god it is Friday.

In my experience, the breakdown is more like this:

Monday: Monday… (exaggerated sigh)
Tuesday: At least it’s not Monday.
Wednesday: Hump Day!
Thursday: Tomorrow’s Friday!
Friday: TGIF!

Monday chit-chat, I find, tends to be primarily anti-Monday and not that pro-Friday, as Friday doesn’t really come into view until Hump Day. Tuesdays and Thursdays are, in and of themselves, empty vessels, commenting only on adjacent extremes. (You could graph it as a pyramid, with Wednesday at the top, and empty office chatter on either side of Wednesday rolling down in either respective direction to comment on its corresponding end.)
I will not comment on the terminology of Wednesdays.

My poor sister.....

My sister lives on the other side of the country. She tends to feel like she is missing out on family things (current example being time spent with our niece) . Seems my sister has resorted to pasting pictures (and poorly) of her face on other peoples bodies to give the illusion of being around. My poor sister is pretty funny........

Monday...... I wish it was Friday.
Tuesday.... At least it isn't Monday and it is a day closer to Friday.
Wednesday..... Hump Day!
Thursday...... One more day till... you guessed it.... FRIDAY!
Friday...... Thank god they say, thank god it is Friday.

If this were a recipe or a chorus the next word you would find is REPEAT. They're all crazy making all of this ruckus over one day.
