This Ralph Lauren must be from some of my bigger days....it looks huge on the hanger & even bigger on me. The color & pattern are all right & the light material is great for summer days but the shear girth of this one makes me tuck it into my knees. I must've been 6 inches taller & 50 lbs heavier when I bought it. It truly is a shame, too...the aqua color really brings out the glorious color in my eyes. Okay, maybe not. Methinks day nine has made it's last appearance unless by some freak of nature I get pregnant (If Arnold can do it, why not me?). Lame post, I know, but it's too hot in my apt. to be overly creative.

Lo & behold...the only Dickies thing I own. I like this one...broad shoulders, wide pattern, big buttons, a little long but not too long.
Dickies gets my seal of approval however somehow i doubt I'd be able to fit comfortably in a pair of their pants/jeans..the whole tall skinny vs. short stocky thing rears it's ugly head again. It's silly but i do almost feel cool wearing this plaider. nice...

Day 6

Believe it or not, this one is a Shawn inspired garment. He always has great looking short sleeved plaiddies that work well for summer. I particularly liked the blue-green unconventional pattern and loose, but not too loose cut of this one. I still struggle with whether or not to wear a shirt underneath this guy...most of the time I want to opt out, however I think the general public would be blinded by my gorgeous physique & swoon at the hope of seeing just a bit of chest hair, so I usually opt for the under-tee. It's a public safety move, smartly calculated. Still, i love this shirt for it's potential, it could be a crowd-pleaser.

Day 5

The result of yet another attempt to buy something a little different & a little 'now'. The goal of this Timberland was to look hip...unfortunately as it turns out I look more like a hipster dufus ala Kramer but without the grace. Looks okay on the hanger but once on this shirt is obviously for a tall slender fella. Us short stocky fellas have dreams too. Although not as cool as I initially thought, still not the worst $8 I've ever spent.

Yet another gift...this one from xmas '06. I'll give my mom credit though, it was supposed to be worn beneath a sweater but it's June & that ain't gonna happen. This one isn't really cut well for me so despite it's Nautica logo, i think it's going to make a goodwill shopper look a bit more preppy (I'll throw in the sweater)

This shirt I bought last year when I convinced myself to go shopping for something outside my comfort zone & unlike the other stuff that I wear all the time. Clearly, mission accomplished...It was a bold move to go with red. Notice the tight plaid pattern, it's just this close to being a solid. Daring to say the least. This one is staying in the shirt rotation though...I'm a sucker for Nautica.

This is the shirt that was given to me by my mother over the weekend. I had always thought that I owned a number of plaid shirts, but this gift made me wonder; just how many? and which one defines me? Maybe at the end of this I will know the answers to both.

The life lessons still seem semi relevant and I can't get enough of Ben & Mike and their everyday stupidity. I will go as far to say that Alan Thicke was the perfect TV dad. Cheap as hell but full of wisdom. What a combo.

Ok, here are the teams.......

Axis: Josh, Jimmy, & Brian

Allies: Alex, Dave, & PBK

Round 1: Each team gains a little and loses a little. Russia has no luck moving towards Japan (this will be trouble later) and Germany is unable to eliminate the Allies sea presence. The game is already taking its own shape.



Round 2: Everything plays to the Allies favor. Standard moves are being made. The UK begins to push the Axis out of Africa. The US begins building a fleet to move towards Western Europe & Russia is holding it's own. Japan is also having success is expanding towards Russia.



Round 3: Everything gets a bit blurry at this point. The UK loses it's production facility in India. Fighters were used to clear some water space for the US and that left the door open for the end of the game. Japan moves in and India is added to its impressive collection of four production facilities. Germany is also holding off attacks by Russia, the UK, and the US. Amazing.



The rest of the game: Ouch. All the beer in the world won't make it better. The Axis wins and the reason is because of Horton & Co. They kicked our ass. The Allies played well but countries like the UK got very lazy and figured that the outcome would turn out like the others. PBK sure was wrong and was outsmarted by Horton again.

The Mirror EP, all of their early recordings used to make me very happy. I really am not interested in criticizing music here and I hardly ever do it but........ what a stinker.
